They Call it the Bloody Tower
Originally the Garden Tower this rather unapposing building has had more than its share of history.
The 8th Earl of Northumbrland was suppose to have been murdered here and yeah he still is said to be seen about the place from time to time. Oh by the way he was shot three times, but the inquest ruled suicide HUMMMMMMM. It is said the tower got its current name from this death who ever did it.

The most famous deaths or wait missing persons from this same place is the two young princes, a causality to the Wars of the Roses
https://www.britannica.com/event/Wars-of-the-Roses
During this time Edward IV
who took the throne from Henry VI who by the way is said to have
http://www.bbc.co.uk/history/historic_figures/henry_vi_king.shtml
been murdered (while In Prayer) at Wakefield Tower
which is very close to this bloody one.
http://www.ancientfortresses.org/wakefield-tower.htm
Anyway Edward had two sons Edward (who would become Edward V—kind of) and a younger son Richard (who like the murdered Russian Princess Anastasia retured from presumed dead maybe?)
To this day there is no actual proof that the boys were killed and if so by whom…RIchard III, their uncle who set the children aside and took the throne has always been the front runner until recently when all manner of other speculation has been brought about.
https://www.biography.com/royalty/richard-iii
But there were at the time and continue to be a huge list of suspects—most recently the suspisions have fallen more and more on the Tudors who took the throne with much less right to it than the princes (as well as many other people who had more royal blood than the new royals.
Margaret Beaufort and the Princes in the Tower
But let’s move on—whomever did it—we end up with the fact that even if they just ran away and were never seen again they most probably are deceased by now it must be noted that they are reportedly seen in the tower in a less substantial form than their original occupation.
There’s also claims of a headless woman that’s been seen here more than once described as a woman in period dress—but what period? She usually just fades away.
Women beheaded at Tower Green were:
Queen Anne Boleyn, Second wife of Henry VII who was accused of having many lovers but most historians now think it was just an exuse for Henry to take up with #3 as she wasn’t any fun anymore and he still didn’t have a son 5/19/1536
Margaret Countess of Salisbury, a women murdered by the Tudors (Henry VIII again) for her stronger claim –she was Plantagenet–to the throne than he and his—the axe man was horrible and she rose up and ran about streaming blood from a partially severed neck while he slashed at her old body with the axe–She’d be my pick for the one who hangs around 5/27/1541
Queen Catherine Howard, Henry’s 5th wife by a bill of attainder she was only in her teens and from the fact on this one she was unfaithful several times—given his condition Fat, suffering from a smelly ulcer on his leg and most probably impotent then one couldn’t blame her too much) But it was by the law treason for the Queen to commit adultery. 2/15/1542
Jane Boleyn—Queen Anne’s sister in -law and a victim of God will get you for that winner of the group–she lied about her husband and his sister (agree I’m sure she was well rewarded—-in fact she eventually was one of the ladies that looked after the queen)—but failed to advise anybody of Catherine’s extracircular activities–Catherine’s fall took her with and all I can say is God got you for that didn’t he!. 2/13/1542
Lady Jane Gray, the “Nine Days Queen”, wife of Lord Guildford Dudley, by order of a special commission for High Treason, the young girl was used for her blood lines and sent to the slaughter so that the men who surrounded her could take the throne—she died and a Catholic woman, Henry VIII’s oldest child took it instead February 12 1554

The beauty of happiness is that it is subjective as well as a state mind. With the right perspective, your happy place will be easier to find. The next time you find yourself in your favorite place, take some time to savor the moments. Maybe write down the scene happening around you to remind yourself later what you enjoyed so much.
