YOU CAN TEACH AN OLD DRAGON NEW TRICKS

Good morning, it’s that wonderful almost the weekend day and since I’m only doing my blog today I plan to be on the weekend by 10 am.  Yesterday I worked  and hid out in the house, never rained like they said.  Kids should be encouraged to be weathermen–they can always be wrong and won’t loose their jobs, in fact their errors are actually expected by the general public.

FRIDAY’S BOOK:  THE UNBEARABLE LIGHTNESS OF DRAGONS (which surprise, surprise is about the LIGHT dragons).  I know you’re saying Dragons again, but did you forget I’m the Dragon Lair DIVA????  This is the 2nd in the series and continues on with Ysolde trying to patch things up between her mate Baltic (the baddie in the last 6 books) and the rest of the dragon leaders.  But with her magic gone haywire–she turned a demon dog into a human form and he isn’t happy about it and the First Dragon’s giving her direct orders– things are getting crazy—which is SOP in any of Katie MacAlister’s novels.    Check out:   http://katiemacalister.com/

Since we’ve already explored dragons lets check out some other collectible updates (hint things to look for in your attic or storage unit that could make you money):

Sixties furniture and accessories with a modern look are attracting young buyers.  Mid-Century 1960 Charles Pollock Sling Lounge Chair $2,499.a

Art Deco bronze and ivory figures:  Pair Of Antique Bronze Lamps Art Deco – Lady Sculpture Ivory Toned  $499    Please note that even slight crack or damage lowers the price.  And be sure your item isn’t plastic instead of ivory.

Kitchen utensils and electric appliances (especially toasters of all kinds, from the ’30s to the ’90s alo cookie cutters, aprons and printed ’50 and ’60 tablecloths are items that are anticipated to become good sellers in the future.   Red RetroChair Step Stool  $54

Have some nice Christmas ornaments laying around.  If there’s some wear on them, don’t try to restore.  A little wear adds to the charm of old ornaments.  Restoration actually lowers the resale price.  Be sure it’s really old (tin hangers) and not the newer ones pretending to be old.  Pack of 12 AssortedVintage Cat Christmas Ornaments 2.5″  $101

I need more posts, can’t somebody write me?

NOW TO THE IMPORTANT STUFF                                                                AS SOON AS POSSIBLE YOU NEED TO:

GO OUT AND HAVE A DRAGON GOOD TIME THIS WEEKEND–THAT’S AN ORDER FROM THE DIVA

PS:  beware of shells bearing mean things (see the latest post).
