Marathon has long been know for it’s Tarpon fishing which has been described as the hottest fishing in town. And you don’t need a boat to do it….there’s the East end of the Old Seven Mile Bridge —that is also a great place to view sunset—been there done that—the Bahia Honda Bridge as well. But don’t be afraid of the smaller bridges like Long and about Duck Key—-but I’d ask first as the natives can tell you where they’re biting and the location of fishing areas and bridge safety for fishing.
