Pixies, Ghosts, Witchcraft And Weird Happenings
In southern Devon, England, lies a moorland known as Dartmoor—a blasted, isolated place of bogs and Bronze Age ruins that is supposedly haunted by pixies, satantic wisht hounds, and the ghost of a 17th c squire named Richard Cabell.
According to one local legend Cabell was an avid hunter who sold his soul to the devil and murdered his wife. After his death in July 1677, a pack of phantom hounds was supposedly seen running across the moor to howl at this tomb. From then Cabell’s spirit could be seen leading the spectral dogs—particularly on the anniversary of his death. Life: Sherlock Holmes

If you can believe photographs then at least the ghost (or at least one of them) is a man—-seems that in 1982 a photographer for FloridaToday doing an article for Gentlemen Jim’s (The restaurant’s name at this time) found there was a man in the picture where there shouldn’t be and that the man cast no shadow even though everything else in the picture.
