This is a new one on me—–it was introduced to the town since my last visit here and so I can’t tell you about it….but according to their facebook:   The museum has plenty for those who want to learn about the paranormal, hauntings, other phenomenon and houses many artifacts and photographs of the beginnings in the area. #Cassadaga #VisitWestVolusia #HauntedHistory

So let’s get back on Cassadaga Road—-it  end just past (to the East) the hotel and you’ll turn left/north on Marion Street from here’s its only about four miles to out next stop 
This town south east of Deland stated out as as a log cain in 1858, buit besides a small alek and that was about it until  1883 when that man that the NW tow was named for:  Henry Deland discovered it.   When he introduced a sawmill. and a hotel and then named it all after his daughter (guess what her name was!).
Today the population is 2, 760    it has a modern industry complex—one they manufactued  exercise equipment and technically Cassadaga is part of the Lake Helen composition.  
The Street you have been traveling on from Cassadaga become Marion Ave after you cross W. Kicklighter Rd.
Continue until you come to Cassadaga Road on the right —turn onto same.
If you’re interested in staying over night at other than the Cassadaga Hotel—-there is a Bed and Breakfast on East Kicklighter Road.  Formerly the Clausser’s Bed & Breakfast

Lake Helen

The current owners were formerly frequent visitors to the inn.

 

The Victorian house that contains the B&B eis 3 stories in a secluded area surround by country side and big trees as well as flower gardens.  Built in 1895 it’s many porches gives a place to relax and getting away from it all.  It also has a carriage house.  It has a pub as well if the guest need a bit more relaation.
